Eduardo Penna is a partner at CAR’s Rio de Janeiro office, specialising in the areas of aviation liability and aviation insurance.
He has extensive experience handling aviation accidents, advising airlines, airports, hangars, and their insurers from the immediate aftermath of an incident, with a strong focus on crisis management and engagement with public authorities and affected parties in the wake of major disasters. He also represents clients in litigation relating to the carriage of passengers, baggage, cargo, and third-party liability.
In addition to his aviation practice, Eduardo advises clients on high-risk and complex insurance and reinsurance matters, including satellite insurance, marine risks, surety bonds, fine art insurance, and other specialised contracts. His practice also encompasses regulatory advice, due diligence in transactions involving insurance risks, and the drafting of aviation and insurance-related contracts.
